FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 10, 2005 More Than Outside the Box – Think Without Boundaries! Abbotsford, British Columbia, February 10, 2005. Flashback to September 1999 – Life was looking good – MORE THAN GOOD – for Wendy McClelland. Her business was chosen, “New Business of the Year’ by her local Chamber of Commerce. She had created a website chosen by the New York Times as “one of the best business sites on the ‘net”. Articles she wrote were appearing in print next to those written by Bill Gates! Pretty good for a newly single parent, who up until four years earlier had been a stay-at-home mom raising three kids! Funny, how life can throw you a curve ball when you least expect it though! Through a series of some still unknown circumstances, McClelland developed a serious e-coli infection that invaded her spinal column and ate away the lower three vertebrae and two discs. After months in hospital, then a number of months more in a body cast from her neck to her knee, then many months of rehabilitation, learning to walk again and regaining strength and small motor skills, McClelland fought back for her independence. “I knew that if I laid back and did nothing my body wouldn’t get stronger. I had to push myself to do things. It wasn’t easy – there were so many days that I didn’t want to keep moving. I was so tired, and the pain was hard to deal with. But, now I am glad I fought to keep moving. Now I feel like I am getting my life back.” Today, McClelland has created a new business, Think Without Boundaries Consulting. “I still crave the thrill of business development and marketing, and love to see other businesses grow, but I also enjoy the quieter side of my life – hanging out with my kids, walking with my dogs, and finding quiet moments to just be still. I don’t want to waste the gifts of appreciation I gained from my experiences. If others can learn from my life that would be amazing,” says McClelland. Now also working as a life and business coach, helping others learn from her experiences Wendy helps people learn to set goals at the same time creating balance between their work and personal lives. “I truly believe that all the things I learned during my illness, as well as what I knew before, can be beneficial to people, and I hope that by sharing them I can enrich others’ lives.” McClelland’s new website was launched in the Fall of 2004, appropriately named www.ThinkWithoutBoundaries.com – since Wendy’s mission statement is “I train and motivate people to think without boundaries!”. "I have also just become the first person in British Columbia to be certified as a Guerrilla Marketing Coach! This designation means I've got many more marketing ideas and strategies to share with my clients." Wendy has put some of her thoughts and experiences into a CD entitled “Living Life with Passion”, and is in the midst of writing a book, aptly titled, “Think Without Boundaries!” which she plans to launch in Spring 2005. “The book will contain stories about my experiences, but also those of other people, as well as exercises that people can do to set goals for themselves to move forward in their own lives. I believe that everyone has a purpose, and mine is to help people believe in themselves and live their lives to the fullest possible extent. I hope my book will encourage people to do just that!”. - end - For further information: Wendy McClelland Phone 778-241-2256 www.thinkwithoutboundaries.com info@thinkwithoutboundaries.com NOTE: This press release was printed by local media - click here to see a copy. *** If you would like to reprint this article in your own newsletter, on a website or for distribution you may, BUT you MUST include this bio: Bio: Wendy McClelland is a motivational speaker, marketing innovator and Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach who specializes in teaching people to "think without boundaries!"
