PROMOTE YOURSELF ONLINE by Wendy McClelland 2004 One of the best ways to get publicity for your business is to submit articles to various sites on the internet, or give interviews that are posted online. You can do the same thing in print media offline as well. I've been fortunate to get a number of my articles on web sites, and interviews published as well. This establishes my presence online, helps create my profile as an "expert" and gains me new clients. You can do exactly the same thing. By creating a presence online you can quickly become "the person" people want to talk to! By doing this you will find yourself getting phone calls or emails from reporters looking for quotes on specific topics when they are doing a story on something you have written about. The links below are some of the sites that contain articles I've written or interviews that I've given over the past few years. Start seeking out sites that you can submit articles to and see how you can build your online profile. "Mentoring to Success" on Be Your Own Boss Site (part of Chicken Soup for the Soul series) Guerilla Marketing Tips website (see my tip 3/4 way down page) Marketing the Digital Desktop from Canada One Site Marketing 101 Interview on Idea Marketers Site "Why One Third of Web Businesses Will Fail" on PRWeb Site (you can submit your press release here too!) "How to Make Enormous Profits Online" on Link Promote Site (this article was written by Jay Conrad Levinson - a HUGE marketing guru) He mentions MY name in the article and that's a great connection for me. See if you can contribute to an article that someone BIG in YOUR industry writes! Dealing with Jet Lag Are you a trainer, coach or workshop leader?
