Hello friends,

Summer will be here in just a few days. I hope you are planning a break for yourself in the next few months. Even if your 'vacation' is a day of relaxation in your backyard make time for it! We all need balance in our lives and it's up to each individual to create it.

The last month has been really fun and I'd like to thank the students at Community Futures in Mission for a fantastic day, when I had the opportunity to teach "Guerrilla Marketing" to them. Hearing about people whose businesses include, making funky maternity wear, creating custom woodwork, and fire prevention services was a challenge and an opportunity to come up with some exciting marketing ideas.

The Women's Enterprise Society of B.C. invited me to be the Master of Ceremonies and a presenter at their recent "Celebration of BC Women Entrepreneurs" held in New Westminster. Nearly 175 women attended for a full day of workshops, panel discussions and brainstorming ideas to grow their businesses. It was a fantastic day!

Coming soon, is my full day"Living Life with Passion" workshop at the Inn at Westminster Quay on Sunday, July 24th. This full day includes: a motivational workshop to help YOU create the future you desire, my associate Calli from Life Enhancement Mobile Wellness Services will make sure everyone gets a massage, exhibitors will provide free gifts and you'll get energized by all the exciting surprises we have in store!

Sign up TODAY so you make sure you get one of the limited seats. Also, if you have a product or service of interest to women who want to make a positive investment in their lives you can rent a table and have access to a group of motivated, interested potential customers. Here are the exhibitor details. Here are some great new resources I've found that I think will benefit you:

Looking to manage your money better - then you NEED "Canada's Money Coach" Sheila Walkington. Her fun workshops for women and couples, and her free email newsletter will give you all the tools you need to get control of your finances. PLUS she has a great contest on her site right now - you can win a piggy bank full of loonies!

Glenda Watson-Hyatt is a creative, web developer and writer who specializes in making websites accessible to people with disabilities. She has started a new blog that is informative and interesting for ANYONE doing business online. Visit her at her Web Accessiblity Blog.

Two key things that I encourage all my clients to think about can help you grow your own business! Here they are:

1) Ask yourself "how can I take this to the next level?" What I mean by this is, what other things can you do to reach more people with your message? As an example, when I first started my business and was a seasonal instructor at local colleges, I decided I wanted to reach even more potential clients. I approached my local radio station with an idea for a daily radio feature that was geared to entrepreneurs or people who wanted to start their own businesses? I got myself a daily feature called "Family Business" that ran for 18 months on STAR-FM radio in the Fraser Valley. What can YOU do to take your business to the next level? A column on a website? in a newspaper or newsletter? start your own newsletter? team up with another business that has the same clients as you? Make a list and pick the one you think is most likely to succeed and then DO IT!

2) How can you take the information in your head and put it into different formats to sell? Can you create an e-book, a video, or DVD? How many ways can you sell your information? We all have TONS of valuable knowledge - the key is to find out how to get it to your clients in a useable and saleable format.

Coming soon...my Think Without Boundaries Affiliate program - this will let you make money on your site (or in your newsletter) by selling my products! If you're interested send me an email and as soon as details are finalized you'll be one of the first to get them.

As I sign off this issue, I wanted to share with you a little sad news. One of the real internet marketing pioneers, Corey Rudl, died in a car crash in San Diego earlier this month. Corey was one of the people who I credit with giving me a real education in the world of internet marketing. I had the honour to be on a panel with Corey during an international marketing conference a number of years ago. He was fun, informative and all about giving BIG value for people's time. Corey developed the #1 affiliate program in the world - prior to Amazon even! His Marketing Tips website is full of great information for anyone wanting a start in the internet business. Corey was recently married, and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and associates from around the world. Thank you for everything you helped me gain Corey.

Losing Corey at such a young age (not even 35) reminds me once again - live each day like it's your last! Smile, laugh and love.

Talk to you soon - hope to see you at "Living Life with Passion"  July 24!

Wendy McClelland
