Dear Friends,

It's really been a long time since you've heard from me. As what happens to people - life gets busy and involved.

I hope you forgive my long email absence.

This first issue after three years will contain one marketing tip. Each issue will grow with marketing tips and ideas. If you've got an article, tip or story that has general marketing/business information please send it to me to share with my readers. 

Here's this month's tip:

Offer a FREE consultation!

You may be saying, "What!!!!??? In this economy - give away my services?"

Here's why it's a good idea:

- you need something to get people's attention

- your competition is unlikely to consider it

- in an economy where people are hesitant to spend money without knowing what they will get - your half hour (that's enough time usually) free consultation shows them you can offer the product/service they need

- word will spread and you'll have access to many new customers

Tell people about your free consultation by:

- adding it to your email signature

- print coupons to give away

- contact all your current customers and tell them you'll give them a free half hour of your time (or a small service/product) for any referrals they give you

It's good to be back - I hope this tip gives you some ideas!
