You may have been seeing the word BLOG or WEBLOG around lately and wondered "what in the world?" - well here's what it means "a weblog" or "blog" for short - is a place where (usually a website owner - but anyone who has something to say) somebody writes down their thoughts on a (usually) regular basis. Business blogs are hugely popular and some are becoming big money makers. Various clubs and organizations have blogs, as do movie stars and celebrities. The blogs are free and anyone can create their own. People who read them are also able to leave comments on them.
I've started one of my own - why you may ask? These same reasons will be important to ANY business owner so take note:
A few important reasons:
1) I don't want to flood your mailbox with newsletters all the time - you may want to find out what's going on in my business world more often - maybe I'm going to be doing a seminar, or my book will be launched and you'd like to find out if I'm doing a signing in your area - the BLOG will have it first!
2) Every time I write something in the BLOG it will be "crawled" by the search engine spiders - this gives me a better chance of popping up in the search engines - something ALL businesses online want.
3) It's an opportunity for me to communicate back and forth with my site visitors - and know what you're thinking!
If someone who turned $15,000 into more than a $1,000,000 in 3 years said to you:

I really have found this to be a great place to meet new people, and start discussing deals around the world!
But my business is JUST LOCAL
Often people who have businesses that are "just local" will say things like "my clients are all within 50 miles so why would I join an international list?" - here's something to think about:
1) What if someone on that list has an idea that hasn't been used in your area yet - but is being used elsewhere and is NEW and MONEY MAKING - don't YOU want to be the FIRST one in YOUR AREA to know about it and USE IT and MAKE MONEY from it?
2) What if YOU come up with a great way to streamline your business? You're saving an hour a day by doing this new "thing" and you realize that EVERYONE else in your industry could do the same. Now if you're on a list with thousands of other people in your industry - don't you think that's an ideal place to sell your idea and make some MONEY???
I'd say those are just two ideas that make it worthwhile to be on international lists - EVEN IF YOU HAVE A BUSINESS THAT IS 'JUST LOCAL'. I bet if you thought about it you could probably come up with a few more.
